BYJU’S’ app was developed by Think and Learn Pvt. Ltd, a company which was established by Byju Raveendran, Divya Gokulnath and a group of students in 2011 Indian No 1 Company.
Byju’s is currently one of the most popular school learning app providing learning programs for students in classes 1 to 12.
It has courses for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CAT, IAS (India most competitive eaxm ).
Companies like Byju’s are creating new-age learning experiences which will really help the children overcome the fear of exams and also stop the practice of rote learning and initiate learning on their own.
Coursera
As a person who’s taken courses on Coursera, initially out of curiosity but later on out of interest even, I can attest to the quality of their courses.
Of course, in formal professional courses, a Coursera course would be no substitute for a degree but it’s especially helpful if you’re trying to learn a course which is a hobby, or in a profession which doesn’t exactly call for a full time degree.
Having said that, Coursera courses are often high quality courses, which have assignments and tests the completion of which earns the participant a certificate of credit of sorts — especially if you score above distinction. However in many a case Coursera courses are “watered down” versions of the actual course. For instance, I’ve taken several courses in Coursera, which have been given by Berklee College of Music — including their Introduction to Production Course, their Musicianship Course, and more recently their Introduction to Guitar Course. I took most of these out of sheer curiosity considering that Music Production is something I’m insanely passionate about, among other things in music.
Linkdin Learning
For the people that are engaged in a remote working environment, LinkedIn provides the best professional courses that help them to boost their professional skills. In LinkedIn learning, courses are related to business, technology, creative writing, programming, etc. Courses in LinkedIn learning can be chosen both by employees as well as recommended by employers and their HR administrators based on their information on the LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn premium subscribers get access to on-demand learning videos.
Skillshare
I think that Skillshare is a good teaching platform because it is easy to get started. If you have a skill you want to teach, you can make a class of 10 or 15 minutes that you break down in shorter videos.
There is no approval process for your class, but you still have to follow Skillshare’s guidelines and I invite you to go through the teacher’s handbook
It is very easy to publish a class also. You have one tab where you upload your videos and another tab for your class info: title, description, project and tags.
This Teacher on Skillshare has some 70 classes and his video will answer your question better than I possibly could.
It is easy to get students into your classes, you can make free coupons, and you earn revenue per premium minutes watched and referrals.
Other platforms like Udemy are more challenging as your courses need to be minimum one hour and it is quite competitive.
